20: Phase Transition

The end of chapter 1 and the temporary end of Mirage Seio. Finally the Testiv has transitioned from egg form to its final draconic form. It's quite subtle but note that Slyth did not emerge from the egg but rather morphed its' structure. The diagrams in earlier pages show the energy lines of the form as they developed into appendages. Currently Slyth's neck is craned back as it stretches from the transformation. Panel 2 shows Kim's shocked reaction. She has seen many things in her travels to two other universes but no one from this universe wouldn't be shocked to see a real dragon in front of them. Kim had alreay seen some eggs in her studies and a giant egg is farcical enough that she remained unfazed. This also harkens back to page 2 where you saw Kim's anxiousness at seeing Fy's manifestation. That's a conecpt no one is truly ready for.
As I've said for several weeks previous, Mirage Seio is going on indefinite hiatus as I draw the next chapter and work out a decent way to process pages which doesn't destroy what's time is left in my days. bidaihyo will still be developed and will eventually be how you'll learn a new chapter is coming.
I've actually got the whole story's outline done but that whole pesky thing of actually drawing it and all its scenes gets in the way. So let me just say that I'm receptive to some offers. At this stage, Mirage Seio is more like a pitch anyways. I'm not holding my breath or my pencil, but until I put up more material I should leave some openings for further development. Anyways, thanks for following Mirage Seio up to this point, or for viewing the archive, as I hope to get a new chapter together as soon as all things permit. -{ Brian Trimble }-
